Education providers offering specialized online courses through an LMS (Learning Management System), including SumTotal Systems LMS, Inquisiq, Path LMS and similar, need a powerful ecommerce solution to promote and sell their course catalog to clients.
Integrating the Shift4Shop ecommerce platform to communicate directly via API with the LMS system, allows the client to have a mobile-friendly and search engine optimized online store; while automatically registering customers into the LMS online courses as a new order is placed in the store checkout system. Shift4Shop expands the LMS functionality to accept multiple payment methods, increase conversion rates and use marketing tools to help education providers growth their online presence.
The client (a gift boutique store specializing in apparel) wanted their customers to be able to enter a coupon code for a free t-shirt and select their shirt size directly from the view cart page.
The client wished to give their customers an easy shopping experience by allowing them to claim their free t-shirt right from the view cart page. Shift4Shop’s solution allowed them to do just that. After modifying the view cart page to check for a specific coupon code, their store was further customized with a new section that displays after a coupon code is entered, allowing customers to conveniently select their desired t-shirt size without having to abandon the view cart page.
In this case, the retailer sells pet supplies, and needed a way for customers to create comprehensive profiles for their pets that could be used to purchase pet products.
This particular client required multiple solutions to meet their complex needs. To start, Shift4Shop designed a new “My Pets” page that allows customers to add, delete, and update pet profiles, including their veterinary information, breed, weight, and DOB. With that completed, we created a new product listing page that requires customers to select from a dropdown list which pet they’re purchasing a product for. With this information, the pet’s name now displays next to the product in the cart, with full pet details accessible in the admin via a convenient popup window. Shift4Shop also implemented an automatic email notification (pre-populated with the customer’s pet and veterinary info) to be generated when an order contains an Rx item. This form is then sent via email to a fax service set up by the client.
A motocross gear retailer needed a way to sell a bundle of items while allowing customers to customize color, size, and other options.
In this instance, the client wanted to provide their customers with an easy way to visualize and purchase an entire ensemble. Once taken to the product page, the customer is able to select the color, size, and style of shirt, pants, gloves, and helmet they’d like, with pictures and descriptions on the page changing to reflect the selected option. Once a customer has selected an item for every placeholder, they’re presented with an Add to Cart button, which allows the entire bundle to be added to cart with one price and a list of the bundle’s items.
A floral business needed a way for customers to choose their delivery date and provide special instructions.
As a business that sells flowers for every occasion imaginable, it was important that the client’s customers were able to customize their order and delivery. This project included a complete overhaul to the checkout page, with a series of fields added to ensure time-sensitive flowers are delivered where, and in what manner, the customer desires. In addition to a dropdown menu for delivery location type and occasion type, there’s now a field for special instructions, card message, and a “Choose Delivery Date” field, with an easy-to-use calendar for simple date selection.
